This post will be about random feelings in 2009. So... here we go!
Guhd. 2009 has been crazy. No exaggeration. I've never thought I will have such year in my life. Yes it's a year full of fun. And yes it's a year full of things that are not so fun too. A confusing year too. I've been through a lot of things this year. More than any year I've ever known.
January, February, March, April, and little of May. These are months that will squeeze your energy till the last drop. Not only that. I got mentally depressed too in these months. They're the IBE months. Integrated Business Experience. That's a compulsory course in my second year where each class became a company that had to produce and sell things, and give all the profit for charity. I was the Chief Marketing Officer for my "company" that was named Crescendo Company. I was expected to make high sales. Man, that was hard. I tell you now, I was almost giving up. I had a thought to "resign" at one time. But then I realized that resigning would not solve any problem. I would still be in the company anyway. I then told my friends in the company that I could not do this by myself or only by my division. Having another class/company selling the same product with the product my company sold forced us to work extra hard and extra smart too. Thank God those months ended sweet. My company has managed to gather more than IDR 150 million in profit for the charity. This would be impossible without my friends. :]
Lesson learned: integrity. perseverance. team work.
May, June, July. These were the months of the short semester. Fyi, the short semester in SBM ITB is the busiest. You have to finish 10 credits in about 2 months and a half. The assignments were in enormous amount. I turn 20 that June. So, I had a high fever on my birthday and went to the hospital to have a blood check and get some medicine. Thank God I had my family came to Bandung at the day. I ended the night having dinner with my closest friends. That was great. :) Another great thing in these 3 months is that the short semester ended with a prefect 4 score. :]
Lesson learned: health is precious. don't (only) work hard but work smart.
August, September, October, November, December. I was hospitalized due to this not so dangerous virus that made me was assumed to have dengue fever. Thank God it wasn’t. So, these are the months of the INSANE 7th semester. This semester I've got to choose a concentration in my studies. I chose marketing. Some of my friends who are not taking marketing concentration said, "I don't take marketing because marketing can be learned while you do your business." Let me tell you something. IF YOU CAN LEARN MARKETING YOURSELF THERE WILL NOT BE ANY MARKETING LESSON OR COURSE OR LECTURE OR ANYTHING, YOU NAME IT, IN ANY BUSINESS SCHOOL. There! Hahaha. I mean, that fits the logic to me. Another thing happened in this period of time was a big thing for me. I've never done that before. It was damn effing crazy. And I'm not sure will I do that thing again or not. It ended up not so good, even bad if I may say. But a good friend of mine told me to not regret anything. So, yeah. :)
Lesson learned: health is soooooo precious. control.

Well, it's been a crazy good year. So, goodbye 2009! Thanks for being part of my life.
